Prof. Dr. Elmar M. Giemulla, Professor of Aviation Law, Attorney-at-Law, and author of numerous books and treatises on aviation law and connected issues. Elmar Giemulla has represented victims and aviation companies in numerous liability cases (e.g. Concorde, Lake Constance, MH17, Germanwings, Sinai terrorist attack). The cases were usually settled by negotiations with the insurer. Only in rare cases a court or an arbitration procedure had to be initiated. He can, therefore, explain from a practical point of view how to deal with insurers.
